Ties to Weatherby, Inc. & WCA

Weatherby Foundation International maintains close ties with two other organizations that carry the Weatherby name: Weatherby, Inc. and the Weatherby Collectors Association.

Roy E. Weatherby founded Weatherby, Inc. in 1945. Now based in Atascadero, CA, the legendary firearms company manufactures and markets the world-renowned Mark V® rifles as well as shotguns, ammunition and security/shooting accessories. Its web site address is www.weatherby.com.

Ed Weatherby, son of Roy E. Weatherby and president of Weatherby, Inc., serves as treasurer on Weatherby Foundation International’s Board of Directors. Brad Ruddell, vice president of sales and marketing for Weatherby, Inc., is also a member of Weatherby Foundation International’s board.

Formed in 1988, the Weatherby Collectors Association (WCA) has grown to more than 500 members from the U.S. and abroad. The organization pools experience, compiles history and enhances knowledge of past and present Weatherby products through its activities, which include a successful youth program.

Based in Ozark, MO, the WCA has a web site (www.weatherbycollectors.com) that allows people to join the organization and helps current members find and exchange information about Weatherby products. In addition, the WCA holds an annual meeting.

The WCA actively supports Weatherby Foundation International and its mission. Representatives of the WCA regularly attend Foundation board meetings and other Foundation functions.
